After you land in Enontekio in Finland you are guided to your coach. The one hour journey takes you through the heart of the Sami lands to the Davvi.

Temperatures here can fall to -35C in December and you stop to collect your all-in-one thermal suits and boots, an essential part of your holiday package. Hats, scarves and gloves are also necessary, so remember to pack some for everyone!

After checking in at the Davvi Arctic Lodge your Transun rep hosts a welcome meeting, giving you all the information needed to get the most from your break. Thiis evening you can join one of the optional activities.

Christmas Eve

After breakfast, you will head out on your first safari - the snowmobile Adventure, followed by a warming lunch. A supervised kids' snowmobile ride will be available.

Then the highlight of the day when you board a reindeer sleigh and set off in search of Father Christmas. During a private family meeting in his cabin, each child has the chance to talk with Santa and receives a small gift. After dinner relax or join one of the optional evening excursions.

Christmas Day

After breakfast, you will head out on your second safari, a thrilling 40-minute Husky Experience, followed by a warming lunch. Throughout the day you can enjoy snow activities outside. This evening it is the Christmas dinner, after which you can relax, or join one of the optional night safaris.

Boxing Day

After breakfast you can join one of the exciting optional excursions. After lunch each family will be provided with the materials to decorate a gingerbread house, with a prize for the best. There is also a chance to join a Wilderness Treasure Hunt! This evening enjoy carol singing at the local church. After dinner, relax, or join an optional night safari.

27th December
