La Marine, Sidi Ifni

The town of Sidi Ifni is quite unique in this part of Morocco as, until 1969, it was a Spanish enclave and so has a very different atmosphere and style to the surrounding region. Sidi Ifni is relatively busy in the middle of winter with camper van visitors but the rest of the year it can be a pleasant, if unusual, place to stay. Much of the colonial heritage is, unfortunately, crumbling but there are signs of some new investment and an increasing choice of good places to eat.
