The Rif Mountains of the north of Morocco hide Roman ruins of immense scale and majesty at Volubilis, a thermal spa and luxury hotel at Moulay Yacoub and a small town of laid-back tranquility in Chefchaouen.

Chefchaouen is a small tranquil town, full of charm. It appears as if it is protected by two mountainous peaks, which have given it its name meaning "the horns" in Berber. Its cobbled streets cannot fail to charm you with their simple and gracious white houses with blue doors. |
The largest Roman archeological site in Morocco - The Triumphal Arch, capitol building, house of Bacchus – everything testifies to the city's ancient splendour ... and just across, overlooking the site from a discrete distance is the wonderful Volubilis Inn. |
High up in the Rif Mountains is the "Thermes de Moulay Yacoub" - the hot spa, where a large variety of treatments are on offer. Nearby is the purpose-built Moulay Yacoub Hotel, a fine base for the spa and for exploring the area in general. |
