From our wealth of experience of working in, and travelling around, Morocco as well as putting together practical and interesting itineraries for our clients we would like to recommend the following journey for you to make the most of your time in this fascinating country. An interesting alternative is for one of our English-speaking National Guides to accompany you on a rail tour of Morocco - this is a unique service to Rediscover.

			Reservations - All our holidays are tailor-made so please feel free to request any combination of hotels, riads or tours for your own holiday. The minimum reservation for our accommodation only service is 3 nights in total, although not necessarily at same property. Simply contact us by phone or email or complete one of our enquiry forms. Why Rediscover? - All our reservations staff have worked in Morocco (or visited extensively) and will be more than happy to offer advice and suggestions on any of our featured destinations, tours and properties. Prices - our prices are similar to or quite often cheaper than our internet competitors or booking directly and significantly cheaper than those producing expensive brochures whilst our service, knowledge and after sales care is second to none. Security - Rediscover the World is a member of the TTA (T6816), we also hold our own ATOL bond (T7172). We therefore provide full financial security and assistance should any part of your holiday not happen entirely to plan. If you were to assemble your holiday yourself you may not have this sort of protection.

With our excellent prices for car rental, Morocco is opening up to some quite unique holiday experiences. Roads are pretty good in most places, even in the mountains and desert areas they are mostly asphalted. We do not recommend driving at night though as headlights can be optional and safety barriers on some mountain roads are non-existent. We have all driven extensively around Morocco and will be happy to share our experiences with you if you are at all unsure about self-drive or your chosen route.

NB: All of these itineraries and more can be taken with the services of one of our English-Speaking drivers (or a National Guide). They will drive any type of vehicle at a flat rate of approx. £60 per day per vehicle which includes your driver's food and lodging.

Route no.5 - IMPERIAL CITIES BY TRAIN

* CASABLANCA - RABAT - MEKNES - FEZ - MARRAKECH *

In brief
Day 1 - arr. into Casablanca - private transfer to your hotel - stay 1nt at La Corniche Hotel or Riad Salam Hotel
Day 2 - Meet your guide for your private tour; he will accompany you on the train journeys and provide city tours at each location you visit as well as lots of information, advice and general travel assistance. - visit to Hassan II Mosque then take 1st class train to Rabat. - visit capital of Morocco, Rabat - stay at Golden Tulip Hotel or Riad Kalaa in Rabat - 1nt
Day 3 to 5 - Travel by 1st class train to Fez - stay 3nts (e.g. Riad Yacout, Riad Mabrouka, Merinides Hotel) - sightseeing in Fez. - optional excursion to Volubilis and Meknes and Moulay Idriss or simply a day out to Meknes by train.
Day 6 - return south by 1st class train to Marrakech - stay 3nts at your choice of accommodation (e.g. Riad el Ouarda, Riad Les Trois Mages, Hotel Tichka)
Day 7 & 8 - sightseeing in Marrakech - Optional excursions to visit the High Atlas (for sightseeing or for a day hiking) or, perhaps, the coast at Essaouira.
Day 9 - private transfer to airport for flight home from Marrakech.
