Untouched Lappish nature meets all inclusive comfort. These cabins are renowned in the region for their high quality and are owned by sports and media elite in Finland. A selection of luxury cabins built in Scandinavian blending in with the surroundings and staying true to the the traditional log cabin these are built from stone, wood and glass and although they all look similar the interior of each cabin is unique. With approximately 355m2 of space these cabins offer both indoor and outdoor facilities to allow you to sample Lappish nature both in the cold and in the comfort of indoors. These cabins sleep between 2 and 10 persons (under occupancy supplement may apply). They have three fireplaces, indoor or outdoor jacuzzi, large sauna from which you can watch television and a unique Lappish hut outdoor feature where you can enjoy the warmth of an open fire and reindeer hides whilst still experiencing the Arctic winter.
Day 1
0700-0800: Flights usually depart for Lapland from London Gatwick. The flight time is approximately 3.5 hours. On arrival at Lapland transfer to Taalo and the Arctic Luxury Cabins (transfer time approximately 20 mins). Guided tour of the cabin. Thermal clothing prepared in the cabin. A simple light lunch is served in the cabin.
1700: Transfer to Levin Huskypuisto (25 mins transfer), a husky farm that is home to a number of husky dogs trained for the Arctic races, wolves and reindeer. Learn about the huskies and take part in a 5km husky safari through the Lappish wilderness.
1930: Dinner prepared by your personal chef in the cabin.
Day 2
0800 - 1000: Breakfast served in the cabin.
1030: Transfer to Sammu village for a 6km reindeer safari through the Lappish wilderness.
1400: Lunch is served in the cabin.
1700: Santa and his reindeer will come to your cabin for a private visit. He will have any letters that children have written and gives each child a small soft toy.
1900: Dinner prepared by your personal chef in the cabin.
Day 3
0800 - 0930: Breakfast served in the cabin.
Morning at leisure.
1200-1300: Light lunch served in the cabin.
1300: 30km snowmobile safari starts from the cabin and follows dedicated tracks through the Lappish wilderness. You can choose whether to share snowmobiles or have individual ones. Where possible late check-out will be arranged.
1730: Depart for Kittila airport, Lapland
2000 (approx.) - Return flight to UK from Lapland
2130 (approx.) - Arrive UK
N.B.
1-4 December break itinerary is 3 nights and 4 days. The itinerary is the same as above but the activities are taken on 2 and 3 December due to flight schedules. This break has scheduled flights with Finnair in economy class from either London Heathrow or Manchester to Kittilä via Helsinki.
15-18 December and 20-23 December break itineraries are 3 nights and 4 days. The itinerary is the same as above with Day 3 being free and activities on Day 3 moving to Day 4.
23-26 December break, the returning flight leaves Kittila at 1600.
