Magical Moments Short Break 2012

Capture the true spirit of Christmas at the scenic resort of Luosto, the perfect setting for your amazing Lapland activity holiday. Enjoy reindeer & husky sleigh rides and exciting trips by snowmobile through beautiful snow covered forests and plains as you seek out the great man. Where shall you find him? Will the scouts and elves be there to guide you? Of course they will and even though Santa has been a very busy man, supervising the dispatch of toys by reindeer in time for Christmas Day, he will be thrilled to see all the children to present them with a special gift in person.

Set on the edge of the National Park in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty; the magnificent ski resort of Luosto provides the back drop for your holiday to Lapland. Situated above the Arctic Circle; just 90 minutes north of Rovaniemi, it is an area where peace & tranquillity prevail. One of Europe’s most sparsely populated countries, it is hard to imagine anywhere more beautiful and unspoilt than Finnish Lapland so we can see why Santa has chosen Lapland as his homeland… a magical place, surrounded by lush pine, spruce & larch forests.

Day One

Upon arrival in Lapland it’s time to transport you to the magical resort of Luosto. Once you arrive at the resort you will be provided with your loaned over garments and transferred to your traditional log cabin or hotel. A welcome dinner will be available in the restaurant this evening. Watch out for the elves as you walk around the resort - will mischievous Tricky Dicky be there to play a trick on you? Don’t forget that there will be toboggans and sledges available too should you wish to play in the snow.

Day Two

Your ultimate Lapland adventure begins here…as your expedition commences in search of Santa. Following breakfast you will head to various locations where snowmobiles, reindeer & the ever energetic husky dogs will lead the way in search of the great man. After an action-packed morning, you’ll stop for a hearty lunch at an outside venue before resuming the search. After a fun filled day, you finally return to glorious Luosto, where there is the opportunity to have a sauna or relax with a drink in the bar before enjoying your farewell dinner in the restaurant.

Day Three

If you didn’t find Santa yesterday, then today you must continue your search. Reindeer, huskies & snowmobiles will once again help you to find Father Christmas. When you meet him it will be such a magical moment for everyone. Santa knows you have come a very long way to see him & he has a present for each child. Lunch once again will be provided at one of the outdoor locations before you return to Luosto. Leaving your new found friends in Lapland it’s finally time to depart for your return flight home.
