Paul do Mar has a spectacular position beneath steep cliffs and is the main traditional fishing port in the west of Madeira. Fishermen still bring their daily catch to the small market to be sold. Until the mid 20th century this vilage could only be reached by boat! Soon to open will be the new Ponta do Pargo golf course, designed by Nick Faldo - this is just 10 minutes away.		The Paul do Mar Hotel is an environmentally friendly hotel in an enviable setting at the base of a cliff on a gentle slope towards the sea in the village of Paul do Mar. It is a mere 10 minutes from Madeira's Nature Park.

Accommodation: The hotel has 57 studios and 3 suites on 6 floors, there are two adapted rooms for disabled. All rooms overlook the sea.

All rooms have a/c, direct dial telephone, safety box for rent, cable TV, kitchenette with fridge and microwave and hairdryer.

Facilities: The main restaurant has a terrace with beautiful views and is open for all main meals. It serves a la carte local dishes, international and vegetarian dishes also and, of course, seafood. The pool bar opens throughout the day and serves snacks and the lobby bar, open in the evenings, serves cocktails and a wide selection of wines and spirits. The hotel also has a mini market and car parking.
