In the afternoon of your full day in Ghadames you will have the opportunity to take a trip into the desert, towards the Tunisian border. There is the incredible sight of a lake (for swimming) followed by a visit to the castle of Rass el Ghool which was defended by the people of Ghadames at the time of the Isalmic conquest of the region. Once you have returned from the summit of the castle it is time to get over to the dunes for terrific views at sunset.
