Merge fantasy with reality in search of Father Christmas.

Set on the edge of the National Park in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty; the magnificent ski resort of Luosto provides the back drop for your holiday to Lapland. Situated above the Arctic Circle; just 90 minutes north of Rovaniemi, it is an area where peace & tranquillity prevail. One of Europe’s most sparsely populated countries; it is hard to imagine anywhere more beautiful and unspoilt than Finnish Lapland. And it is here that we can see why Santa has chosen Lapland as his homeland… a magical place, surrounded by lush pine, spruce & larch forests.

                     
Day One

Leaving the UK far behind you arrive in Lapland, where your guides will be waiting to transport you to Luosto. You may be staying in a wilderness location but the excellent accommodation still provides you with all your regular creature comforts. After you have checked into your chosen cabin or hotel see if you can find Tricky Dicky. He’s such a naughty elf, always playing funny tricks on people! Tonight relax & enjoy the welcome dinner.

Day Two

Enjoy a Finnish buffet breakfast in resort. Then it’s time to begin your adventures with the help of snowmobiles, husky dogs & reindeer. Will some of Santa’s Special Elves be there too? Why yes, Snowy Bowy & Speedy Sam will be there to join in the fun & games. You’ll have a simple, yet warming lunch before the activities continue. If you don’t find Father Christmas at home today, then you are certain to do so tomorrow. Back in Luosto you may wish relax with a sauna or go for a swim at the pool in the Luostotunturi Hotel (local charges apply for those staying in cabins). Once again this evening there will be a buffet style dinner.

Day Three

Following a hearty breakfast, you’ll resume the search for Santa. Your new friends, the huskies & reindeer, will help with your endeavours once again. Perhaps Donner & Blitzen will advise your guides of the best routes to take. This morning you will be transported through prepared tracks in an area known for its outstanding natural beauty. Only the sound of the ever powerful snowmobiles will briefly break the sense of peace & tranquillity. If you didn’t find Santa yesterday, then today will be the day. Father Christmas knows you‘ve made every effort to find his home & he will be so pleased to see you all. Tonight enjoy your farewell dinner in Luosto.

 

Day Four

This morning after breakfast, there will be a choice of activities available before you say a fond farewell to your Lappish friends. Join in the mini snow games and try your hand at the tug of war competition. Alternatively, enjoy some tobogganing or relax and enjoy the resort facilities. Lunch will be taken in Luosto. Your guides will be providing you with certificates & licences to commemorate crossing the Arctic Circle, plus you’ll make a quick stop to purchase some Lapland souvenirs, before it’s time to board your flight to the UK.
