Enchanting Lapland - Day Trip to visit Santa - 2012

A spectacular one day visit to mystical Lapland. Enjoy snowmobiling, husky, reindeer and horse sleigh rides and a family meeting with Santa. A day you will never forget!

It's an early departure from your chosen airport and breakfast will be served during the flight. With the co-operation of the airline and cabin crew there may be a Christmas singalong! On arrival in Enontekio you will be provided with an all in one thermal suit and boots, then it's time to head to an idyllic spot beside a frozen lake by snowmobile and sleigh.

Once at the venue you can relax and enjoy the magic of this winter wonderland. Enjoy husky and reindeer sleigh rides and learn to drive a snowmobile (suitable for adults and children alike). Enjoy a horse drawn sleigh ride through the beautiful countryside. All children (and adults!) love tobogganing and at this location you will find special Stiga toboggans, which allow greater steering ability.

A visit to the snow castle is a must and in a specially constructed antechamber you will find traditional ice sculptures and tables made from ice where hot berry juice will be served. But will you find Santa?

A snowmobile and sleigh will be waiting to transport you to his home in the forest. Father Christmas knows you have travelled far to see him and he has set aside time for everyone - he especially enjoys reading children's personally delivered letters and each child will receive a present from him.

Lunch is available throughout the day and while simple in nature, it will be warming. Sample menus include hot soup, baked potatoes with a choice of meat or vegetarian filling and a dessert of pancakes and jam.

Finally it is time to return to Enontekio leaving Santa and his helpers to continue their important duties. At the airport there will be an opportunity to purchase a momento of your visit to Lapland. Dinner will be served on the return flight.
