Another high point was the trek to the mid-Atlas mountains. You mentioned that most of your clients prefer the High Atlas, which are more dramatic. We found the mid-Atlas to be stunning. Lots of walking in high pastureland punctuated by ancient cedar forest. Beautiful scenery, and remote without being wild. Our mountain guide, Said Jari, was also terrific—he knew many of the Berber people we encountered, navigated easily through the countryside without maps, chose great campsites, and had an almost poetic sense of the landscape.
