We therefore provide full financial security and assistance should any part of your holiday not happen entirely to plan. If you were to assemble your holiday yourself you may not have this sort of protection.

We love this hotel, it has style, warm hospitality, great food and superb views of the kasbah and oasis of Amerhidil just behind plus the High Atlas Mountains beyond. A perfect antidote to the more modern complex hotels in Ouarzazate but just 30 minutes along the road to Boumalne and Tineghir so can still be used to visit the Draa Valley as well as the Dades and Todra Gorges.

Kasbah Ben Moro is an authentic palace from the 18th century which has been converted into a hotel. The High Atlas mountains and the old Kasbah d’Amerhidil contrast with the green of the 100 year old palmeraie which rises up from the middle of the desert plain. Kasbah Ben Moro is at the edge of the Palmeraie, beside the little village of Skoura, 30km to the east of Ouarzazate. This masterpiece of traditional pisé architecture offers its guests a hint of what it was like in the Morocco of long ago. Its original builder was an Arab Andalusian noble from the 18th century. Today’s owner is also Andalusian.

Accommodation: 14 Twin and double rooms arranged throughout the three levels of the Kasbah's towers. All en suite and tastefully decorated with many Moroccan themes and crafts. The simple, yet elegant rooms are on 3 levels and also in the towers of the Kasbah. 13 doubles of which 5 can be triples with private bathroom. 3 rooms in the towers share a bathroom.

Facilities: The hotel has a very good restaurant, roof terrace and bar. You can dine in either the restaurant or in one of the three comfortable lounges which surround it. The cuisine is simple but delicious, mainly south Moroccan dishes with the choice of a few Spanish dishes. The outside terraces look onto a garden with views to the palmeraie and you can dine here in the warmer weather.

The Skoura Palmeraie is an ideal point from which to explore the High Atlas, Dades Valley (the Valley of 1000 kasbahs), and Draa Valley (without forgetting the Ouarzazate barrage very close by. Walking, quad biking and horse riding are all popular her

NB: electricity supply to this property can be intermittent but this is part of the charm in rural Morocco.
