The minimum reservation for our accommodation only service is 3 nights in total, although not necessarily at same property. Simply contact us by phone or email or complete one of our enquiry forms. Why Rediscover? - All our reservations staff have worked in Morocco (or visited extensively) and will be more than happy to offer advice and suggestions on any of our featured destinations, tours and properties. Prices - our prices are similar to or quite often cheaper than our internet competitors or booking directly and significantly cheaper than those producing expensive brochures whilst our service, knowledge and after sales care is second to none. Security - Rediscover the World is a member of the TTA (T6816), we also hold our own ATOL bond (T7172). We therefore provide full financial security and assistance should any part of your holiday not happen entirely to plan. If you were to assemble your holiday yourself you may not have this sort of protection.

The Dar Azawad is located 90kms south of Zagora at the very edge of the Sahara itself. The building is set amongst the palmeraie of Oulad Driss and is only 4kms from M'hamid, "the end of the road" in this part of Morocco.

Accommodation: There are 11 rooms, 4 suites and 8 tents decorated to a very good standard. All rooms, junior suites and tents sleep up to four persons.

Facilities: A large swimming pool and sun terrace with plenty of loungers and tables, excellent restaurant and comfortable bar. There is a delightful spa at the Dar Azawad which boasts a large hamman and plenty of treatment rooms and relaxation areas. There are lots of opportunities to visit the Sahara available to the visitor at the Dar Azawad and because of this (and the long drive to get here) we would recommend at least two nights here to enjoy both the hotel and the desert.

There are two encampments (Reve Sahara, Les Hommes Bleue) which are near to the hotel (just a few kms away, less than 30 mins) plus the dramatic location of Ch'gagga some 40kms away (approx. 2hrs).

Dar Azawad was very comfortable and we had copious amounts of food and got to pet the resident camel, donkeys and dogs but the sheep and cats were too timid. As this hotel had a heated pool, we managed to have a swim before going on a sunset camel ride.  In retrospect, we should have spent more time here to break up the journey and use the spa facilities.
